I felt spoiled by the amenities, there were great spaces to stay, eat and relax. We engaged the culture, served tremendously, and I loved relating to the team and connecting more deepling with them.

The bed visit wa very impactful. To see the excitement on the family's faces and how excited they were to have a good quality bed. It was a perfect situation to share with the family how God has given us a free gift (salvation) and we wanted to give them a free gift to bless them like God has blessed us. With all this said, I think that I got more out of this trip than the families we ministered to. God really showed me a lot about selflessness during this trip.

Something that I am taking away is being able to learn how to listen,  understand and work with others who in the beginning may have been difficult. I loved the home visits and being able to pray with people at the house. Bed deliveries were so gratifying! Seeing how appreciative people can be or the smalles things and being humbled by that, showed me how blessed I am and that I can help to change someone's life.

After my first trip to San Salvador, I would say that the week was nothing less than incredible the whole time. From the friendly and welcoming local team to the endlessly happy and chatty kiddos, the week challenged and excited me in many ways. It was amazing to see God challenge the team through many struggles, but still convey our message in the end. I have taken away a lotfrom this experience and am so grateful for it.

I absolutely adored the people of San Salvador. The trip leader, local translators, center staff, the kids at the centers, and all of the families I met were wonderful. Their joy, gratitude, and kindness all in itself made the whole trip worth it and caused me to take a look at the life I live back home and re-evaluate some of the choices I make and attitudes I hold. The relationships I made make me excited to come back soon!

I really enjoyed it here. The kids were great, I just wish I could stay here longer. I will definitely miss this place. This mission trip was amazing.

Coming back for my third trip was once again nothing short of amazing. A highlight from my trip was working in the kitchen in Soyapango! The women's comraderie, joy and open arms are a true testament of God's love! I enjoyed strengthening relationships and watching the kids grow. Their smiles and laughter are contagious.

There is nothing more gratifying than connecting with people across the globe who speak a different language, eat different food and celebrate different holidays and customs. Despite illness, occasionally feeling awkward, fatigue and language barrier, my life has been enriched and my worldview enlarged as a result of this trip.

This mission trip was amazing because there were many opportunties to serve the Lord and impact the people of the region. But really, I feel the people impacted me more--during the home visit, kid's classes, clinic evangelism, Bible study, serving and making lunches and bed decorating.
