In the Volcano and in Soyapango, some children sleep two or three to a bed, sometimes with their parents, siblings or other family members. Some are even left to sleep on the ground.
By participating in the Esmeralda Project, you can make one or many children and their families happy. This may be through donating funds to support the project or by personally working to construct a bed yourself if you visit us with a Missions Team.
The community in which our Children's Development Center lies is very poor and the children there lack proper nutrition. They have never had access to dental care, which is why many of them live with dental health problems which impedes them from having the highest quality of life. This is how the dream was born to build and construct a dental clinic that would provide dental health services with the goal of helping the community as a whole.
Our Great Commission churches in partnership with the international non-profit organization called Total Health manage the medical clinics at our Children’s Development Centers at Km. 19 ½ on Carretera al Volcán and in Soyapango.
These clinics provide integral health care in at-risk communities that lack the resources to offer medical services.
