Victoria Luhring-Valle first visited our Children's Development Center on the San Salvador Volcano with a Mission Team from CedarCreek Church in Toledo, Ohio. Seeing the diverse needs in these poor communities, her heart was moved to do more. Each time Victoria visited El Salvador with a Mission Team, each week that she spent serving, were used by God to place in her the dream of helping different groups in the communities in which she served.
That is how in 2017 she shared the needs in the Volcano with the Rotary Club of Maumee, Ohio. Together with the local missions pastor in San Salvador, Victor Turcios, the CDC Director, Silvia Guzman de Turcios and coordinator of international communication, Ali Howard, we created the proposal for equipping the Dental Clinic that we had recently constructed. This included the need for a second dental chair, compressor, electric installations and dental materials used to regularly operate the clinic. These needs supported the dream of benefiting more than 3000 people in the Volcano community whose poverty created a great need for dental health services.

In the end, the Rotary Club approved the project of the IGC Dental Clinic, news that we received with great happiness. In February 2018, Silvia Guzman de Turcios (CDC Director and Supervising Dentist of the clinic) along with Ali Howard (missionary living in San Salvador and in charge of international communication) traveled to visit the Rotary Club and receive the donations for this project.
Ceremony and symbolic donation acceptance
The Rotary Club initiated the delivery of these funds through Great Commission Latin America, who ensures the legal delivery and administration of all donations and of whom we are partners in developing all of our social projects.
In March 2018, the second dental station was installed and dental services began in serving more than 150 children at the CDC, their families and those in the surrounding community.

THE CLINIC IS UP AND RUNNING! Thanks to the support of CedarCreek Church who connected us with Victoria in her first trip with a Mission Team, thanks to Victoria who put us in contact with the Rotary Club and thanks to the Rotary Club who granted us with such a generous donation. Above all, we of course give thanks to God who put us in contact with each of these wonderful people. Thank you, a thousand thanks to everyone.
