The entire staff of Great Commission Church did an amazing job for our team - I was impressed! They have very capable leaders in the church - especially Pastor Victor and Silvia - Keep up the good work!

This is my 9th year with Total Health and doing medical missions. Overall the experience continues to be a HUGE blessing, especially being able to serve all the people and to experience their appreciation for the medical team and evangelism. We are changing the lives of these people - temporarily (medical) and eternally (spiritual).

Ashley and Ali were also awesome to work with. As well, Pastor Victor and the local doctors (Inri and Valencia) and all the staff and workers who helped the entire week were fantastic. It is an example of God's work and love for His people."

I was originally brought on this trip to focus on capturing video content and photos for promotional purposes. But nothing could have prepared me for the eye-opening experience that drove an emotional need to get hands-on at the Development Centers. This children and culture of El Salvador have totally changed my heart forever.

I came not knowing what to expect. I took a week off of a very busy job, left family and was worried I wouldn’t be able to let everything go. So I promised myself I would trust God to handle everything at home and this was the BEST WEEK! I grew personally, was forced to leave my comfort zone and it was SO worth it. I grew as a Christian, was able to love kids, my team, and the staff unconditionally for a week and I will never forget it. Thank you! I pray more people will do this.

My favorite thing about the trip mas meeting the parents of the children and sharing the Gospel and encouraging them. I also enjoyed the camaraderie and just the fun we had in hanging out as well as serving together. I love doing things that make a difference!

This is my 3rd trip here and I am already looking forward to coming back next year. It’s a blessing to see how the church is making such a huge impact. Every year we see more children in the Center and the Center getting bigger and offering more assistance to the community. What an amazing job everyone does keeping us organized and being used by God!

We played a card game with the kids where the cards had pictures on them – random pictures. They were instructed to tell us what these photos meant to them in regards to their relationship with God. I was blown away with the answers the children were giving. It was really cool to see how much God meant to them and how He related to their life at such a young age. Complex faith driven answers. Both Centers are doing such an amazing job pouring into the youth in so any ways and it was an honor, privilege and blessing to be a part of it for the time God allowed me to. It was an experience I will never forget. It prompted me to grow in my faith as well and for that I am very grateful

This trip has been so life changing and eye opening. Seeing what the people have here and how they are still full of joy is so eye opening and really makes you grateful for what you have. I would really encourage anyone who is thinking about it to step out of you comfort zone and do it. If you do go, be ready for anything and be willing to do things you wouldn’t normally do.

The highlight of my trip was definitely meeting all of these amazing people. Everyone I spoke with was so kind and caring and I could feel the love within the community. It was a pleasure to serve these people while I was there and they impacted my life without even trying.

Before the trip, I was skeptical on the impact a mission trip could really have. I thought that maybe the funds we raised could be used in a much more constructive way to help the very same people we were visiting. But, after spending only a week working for the church and for God's kingdom, I saw that I was very wrong. Our team seemed to leave a positive impact on those that we met, but it also influenced each person on our team to grow closer to each other and to Christ.

I had two favorite parts of this trip. The first was when we went to the park near Iglesia Gran Comision and talked to anyone and everyone about Jesus. People were so much more open to discuss their faith than people are in the United States. My other favorite was at the end of the week when I was able to baptize my roommate! I cannot wait to see in a year how much Christ will grow him.

I'm really thankful and humbled to have been part of such a great team. Really got the chance to bond and learn with a close-knit community of believers. I got to see firsthand God's love here in El Salvador.

I've been on several mission trips before, and not one of them compares to my time in San Salvador. I served both adults and children who, needless to say, physically had close to nothing, not even a cement floor to sleep on. Yet not once did I meet a person who wasn't eager to hear the Gospel or grow in their faith. Every person I came into contact with was genuinely happy, regardless of their circumstance. It was truly heartbreaking and evident how needed Christ's love is in El Salvador. However, GCLA San Salvador and the Children's Development Centers are literally the light on a hill (or volcano!) as Jesus said in Matthew 5:13-16!

I feel so blessed to have been able to spend another week in El Salvador. Spending the week with the children in the development centers impacted me in so many ways. I was able to grow in my faith through out the week and build life long friendships that I am forever grateful for!

This was my second year going on a missions trip to El Salvador and once again it was life changing. I went with the thought that I would change a lot of peoples' lives, but they changed my life too. I felt closer to God during the entire trip because I knew that I was helping His children. I had so much fun with the kids in the centers and the translators that were volunteering their time. I would love to go back many more times because I knew that I was making a difference. Plus I came back to the States refreshed and ready to tackle life.

I had an amazing time in El Salvador last week. Watching someone accept Christ at the Volcano is the best feeling. Thanks to our awesome translators who made the experience so special.

I had every intention of going to El Salvador to tell a bunch of people about Jesus and change their lives. It turns out the people that I had the pleasure of meeting on my trip blessed me immensely more than I could have ever blessed them - their faith is huge, their love is genuine and their joy is contagious. God is undeniably doing incredible work through the Great Commission Church and the Children's Development Centers. It was a honor to serve alongside the local team and be a witness to it all!
