HOW TO DEVELOP THE PLAN FOR YOUR MISSION TEAM
To prepare the plan for the Mission Team, the leader must select three different types of activities:
1. Main activities
These activities will support the work being done with the children at our Children's Development Centers in the San Salvador Volcano and in Soyapango.
2. Optional activities
Complementary and optional activities related to other projects to create a more integral experience.
3. Free day activities
Different options for the free day to rest.

PROCESS FOR NEW CHURCHES
1. Get to know GCLA: We are part of a church network called Great Commission Latin America. You can read GCLA's Statement of Faith HERE. You can also read about GCLA's mission trips HERE.

2. Get in touch with GCLA's Missions Liaison, Gloria Perez: Gloria can tell you more about potential trip costs, insurance, and registration. Her email is gloria.perez@igcla.com.

3. Learn more about our projects: You can read above about our outreach projects and some things that your team could be a part of while here. Feel free to browse around this site to get to know us more.
4. Call our Missions Coordinator, Pedro Solano: From there, you can schedule a phone/Skype call with Ali so that she can answer any questions you may have and talk in more detail about what the trip may look like. This is also a chance for you to express your team's interests so that we can think of what areas to serve would be a good fit as we work on in-country logistics. MAIN PROJECTS AND THEIR ACTIVITIES
CHILDREN'S DEVELOPMENT CENTER
Focus: At-risk children
MAIN ACTIVITIES:

Give Bible classes to children (utilizing skits, crafts, or music)

Visit homes to share the gospel and encourage families

Lead Bible studies for parents of our CDC children

Give English classes to CDC children
-
Support a maintenance project for the CDC facilities (painting, light construction, etc.)

Help make lunch for the children in the kitchen
-
Create a painted mural for border wall of the property (Extra funds $100.0)
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES:

Host an evangelism event or concert in a local neighborhood

Visit a local nursing home to share the gospel and encourage residents

Give out invite cards for our church and evangelize at a local park or plaza.

Build and deliver beds to families in need

Share the gospel to people waiting at our medical and dental clinics
FREE DAY OPTIONS:

TOTAL HEALTH CLINICS
AND DENTAL CLINIC
Focus: Medical or dental campaigns
MAIN ACTIVITIES:

Conduct a dental campaign out of our Dental Clinic located at our Children’s Development Center (CDC) on the San Salvador Volcano and at our Soyapango CDC which does not currently have a dental clinic.

Conduct a medical campaign out of our Total Health clinics located at both our Volcano and Soyapango CDC

Share the gospel and pray with every patient that comes to the clinic
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES:

Provide free consultations at a local neighborhood, while also inviting people to Great Commission Church

Provide free consultations at a local nursing home, while also praying with and encouraging residents
-
Support maintenance projects at any of our clinics
FREE DAY OPTIONS:
